Day 330. cold.

December 28. cold.

We went out to Multnomah Falls. It’s a total tourist trap so has a level of unpleasantness, but it is still an awesome site every time. It wasn’t all that cold, but it was raining pretty steadily. We bundled up. Here’s my dad and sister.

Day 266 photo. Stone People.

October 25. People.

Stone people are people too…

After taking this picture I almost veered off track and started taking pictures of statues, which I notice are pretty prevalent around town. I just may have to do that idea soon.

Day 263 photo. in my town.

October 22. In my town.
There’s this place in downtown Portland, Right to Dream Too, or R2D2. It provides a nice sheltered area where homeless people can stay for the night. Providing a safe, covered, warm area with a bathroom. I imagine places like this are critical to homeless people’s survival.

Day 244 photo. This happened today.

October 3. “This happened today”

This actually happens most days, as long as I leave work on time.

I find it interesting how some people are a part of my every day routine, even though I don’t know them at all. This group of people wait for the bus at the same time, same place, every day.  I pass by them every day as I leave work on the way to the parking lot where I park. The bus will show up in just a few minutes. Sometimes I see them boarding the bus, sometimes I see the bus drive away in front of me, sometimes they are still standing around waiting for the bus. I recognize them, and I’m sure they recognize me.

Day 206 photo- August 26. dream.

August 26. dream.

“Dream” is perfect for today!

Think kickball is just for grade-school kids? Think again. Portland is full of adult kickball leagues. It’s competitive, don’t join if you can’t handle it.

Our team name is Dream Squashers. First game of the season played today.

We ended up losing 4-1 but we’ll get ’em next time!
