For Saturday’s photo is this tree.
We went out to Sauvie Island, which is a short drive and one of the most beautiful places in the Portland vicinity to visit. The island is mostly farmland where much of our local produce comes from. It’s also a Wildlife Refuge, a good portion of the land is protected. It’s one of the best and most popular spots for birding.
We had a nice picnic and did an easy hike around Virginia Lake. The weather was unseasonally warm this weekend, reaching 80. The tree was seen along our hike.
