My photo theme for this week is going to be “Places of Worship”.
I’ve always been fascinated by religious buildings. First, they are all over the place. No matter where you are you are always running into one. Second, the buildings themselves are always so intriguing. Sometimes they are such beautifully designed, architecturally gorgeous buildings, full of decorative features. Other times they are a simple no-frills building. Sometimes they are somewhere in between. They are all different, yet all hold similarities.
This here is a pretty simple building but still striking to me with the boxy, bold straight lines. The windows are really nice stained glass mostly green in color. The quirky thing about it is its front steps are covered in astro-turf. I also like that I accidentally captured a passing bicycle rider as I snapped the image.
